We deliver high-impact strategy and technical consulting and provide ongoing development and operational support services. Initiatives are led by Client Engagement and Practice Leads with the expectation that the Lead Decisioning Architect will be involved from project definition through full project delivery, implementation and ongoing support.

Summary of Position

The Lead Decisioning Architect is responsible for design, implementation, and development of inbound decisioning solutions that meet the client’s business requirements.

The ideal candidate will design solutions based in client business requirements or modify current solutions to meet changing needs, and have wide range of marketing automation experience in many industries.

Major Responsibilities

Define Decisioning Strategies

  • Assess Decisioning capabilities, establish and or expand the technical platform to enable and support multi-channel and interactive customer Decisioning strategies
  • Coordinate the definition and measurement of Decisioning business solutions to improve customer acquisitions, retention and satisfaction
  • Lead the planning, and implementation of Decisioning initiatives applying regional and global standards where appropriate
  • Translates client business issues into solutions
  • Support both the business requirements gathering and documentation development

High-Level Logic Design

  • Translate business requirements and offer information into decisioning software logic designs
  • Design logic mindful of client systems integration
  • Provide technical leadership to those with less experience in decisioning technologies
  • Provide estimates of work, assist with resource/time allocations, properly follow project life cycle, develop and document technical designs, support testing cycles and support software implementations
  • Meet with clients and other members of the project team to identify or clarify requirements to better achieve desired outcomes
  • Recommend technical solutions to project team and/or offer alternative solutions when appropriate
  • Facilitates communication between all key IT groups and the client community through meeting participation

Personal Development

  • Implements and maintains a personal development program that focuses on maintaining currency and enhancing technical skills in the areas of Information Technology and Marketing Automation
  • Proactively identifies own training needs
  • Maintains a reading program that covers recent developments in IT and Marketing techniques

Desired Skills and Experience

Education

  • Engineering, Science or Computer Science undergraduate degree/diploma, or equivalent work experience

Experience & Knowledge

  • 5 years design and development experience with Chordiant Decision Management (CDM), Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC) including Decision Services Model (DSM) decisioning applications
  • 5 years of Java/J2EE experience or related technologies required
  • 10 years’ experience in inbound marketing/marketing technology or similar IT projects
  • Ability to travel 50 – 75% at a minimum with periods of 100% travel
  • Experience with adaptive modeling
  • Understanding of SQL, XML, and real time decisioning
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Project Delivery Process
  • Understanding of the principles behind Object-Oriented programming languages
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies desired
  • User Interface Design
  • Certified Pega Marketing Consultant (CPMC) certification or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
